The GOM Android App

For those semi tech savvy folks out there, I threw together a simple Android app that basically displays our blog so you can stay current with the latest updates, pictures, and videos over the next few weeks. (Ok, so I was mostly tinkering to teach myself)

When you run the program it pulls up the title and beginning part of the latest blog posts.  You can click through the post to get the entire content.

Also included under the menu are the picture and video feeds from the blog and youtube.

The name of the app is GOM (Gardners On Mission).  I had to think about that one a while.

I'm not promising a bug-free experience.  It's my first one and there's a small issue with the blog posts not being listed by date, but hey, it's faree after all.

Download the GOM app

Ninja edit, Dustin here: To install this app you will have to turn on "Unknown sources" a.k.a not the android marketplace. Settings -> Applications -> Unknown sources

Feedback will be appreciated and probably ignored.

Cheers.

Randy

  3. Did I mention the nominal fee of $99 Apple requires? I haven't seen any free options for iOS apps.

  4. Okay, I'm not techy. I clicked on your link, and it seems to want to download it to my laptop. How do I get it onto my phone?

  5. The easiest was is to pull up our blog on your phone's web browser and then download it to your phone. Dustin can give you more specific instructions if this isn't enough for you. Let us know.
