Leaving from Tri-Cities |
There have been minor hiccups along the way. A major storm system in the southern US left us sitting on the tarmac at Charlotte for an extra hour or so, and then again this morning in Munich, another hour on the tarmac. Fun times when you're already exhausted from traveling. I'm pretty sure that the Gardner family was sitting in the nursery section of the overseas flight last night. There were 6 little ones, under 1 that made for a very restless, sleepless night for most of us. I told Ivonne this morning that I felt like I had the worst church nursery experience ever last night for 10 hours, rather than one. It was indeed a long, noisy night.
The weather here tonight (8PM in Romania) is cloudy, rainy and cool. Dustin is very upset with me because I told him there was no need to bring a hoody with us, it's been too hot. Well, he could have used one walking to dinner tonight.
We are all planning on going to bed very soon and getting a relatively early start in the morning. We will meet with pastor Reggies friend, "Doru"? I think, in the morning. Hopefully he will have some good news for us. Accommodations were NOT QUITE what we expected. We're all sleeping in twin beds, 4 to an apartment. Dustin has become a "Tennent" for tonight. :) We would also like to do a little getting to know the town tour tomorrow. Biggest order of business, however, is getting some serious sleep tonight.
A couple of major (ok, not really that major inthe grand scheme) prayer requests:
Our ATM will NOT work at any of the machines. So, no cash withdrawls available at this time.
If that wasn't enough, the ONLY credit card we brought, called beforehand, etc., won't work without a PIN.
Pray we can get these resolved tonight. Thank you all for your prayers and support.
We are so tired, and really need to be able to rest tonight.
